During the 21 days nationwide lockdown, everyone eats, sleeps, watches shows or movies and repeats this same routine. In this quarantine and chill time, we ignore the fact that our body doesn’t do any physical exercise. Well, it’s up to you if you want to get out of it as fit or not.
Giving you all the motivation to get up and workout at home for just a few minutes everyday, here are few exercises for beginners that one can indulge in:
1. Burpees
When it comes to burning fat at home, burpees are the best. For this exercise, from the standing position, you squat down and place your palms on the floor. From there kick your feet back, like a push up position Once again squat down and then jump with your hands straight into the air. Land and immediately squat down to go into the next rep. Do ten reps!
2. Planks
The perfect exercise for working on your core. For planks, get into a press up position while resting on your forearm. Make sure that your back is straight. Do this for five reps with holding on to the same position for at least 20 seconds.
3. Jumping Lunges
Ideal for leg day, jumping lunges build up your cardiovascular system. For this, lunge forward until your rear knee is almost touching the ground. Jump into the air, bringing your rear foot forward and the front foot back. Land in a lunge and repeat ten times.
4. Squats
Good for achieving toned legs, perform 20 squats. To do so, hold your arms together and close to your chest. While keeping your back straight, push your butt back and feet apart. From a standing position to getting your hip out while acting like you’re sitting on a chair without a physical chair being present, this is one squat.
