1. Pakoda
One would agree that monsoon bites are incomplete without pakodas, be it potato, onion or paneer. Toss the veggies in the besan and for that, one should mix the gram flour, salt and water in a bowl. Coat the veggie well in the flour and fry it in heated oil till it turns golden. Serve it with ketchup or chutney and definitely a hot cup of chai too!
2. Samosa
How about some hot samosas on a cool, rainy evening? Everyone’s all-time favourite snack is a delight to your heart and stomach. Going well with spicy green chutney, peel and boil potatoes, smash them and keep aside in a bowl. Use an all-purpose flour, add salt and vegetable oil to mix well. Knead the dough after adding water. Make small round rolls with dough and roll it into a chapatti, convert into a cone. Add fillings and close all the ends, fry each of the cones in heated oil till it’s golden and crispy.
3. Tikki
One of the most loved snack, potato tikki is for everyone, potato lover or not. This dish is a tasty combination of mashed potatoes with authentic spices. The mix of channa dal, ginger, garlic, green chilies and cumin seeds which makes an awesome filling for the tikki. Crispy tikkis served along with a hot cup of tea sounds heavenly!
