Founded by the trio, Karan Sawhney, Robin Behl and Anushka Nandani, The Tribe is a fitness destination that believes that fitness not only helps your body but allows you to take challenges head on and pushes you to keep moving forward. As a fitness center that regularly trains Bollywood actors apart from their regular classes, one of them is Kriti Sanon.
Currently training for the movie Ganpat, which is an action movie, Sanon is training to get toned and have the level for fitness that one needs to do action scenes. Her training includes strength and conditioning and functional training. At the moment, Sanon is on a six-week program called the French Contrast Training and is doing only and only that for this duration. Sanon trains with all three instructors at The Tribe as she focuses on different areas of fitness. In addition to this, Karan has incorporated some outdoor sessions for her so that she gets used to training in the sun, as it’ll be a part of her role for the movie.
At The Tribe, Sawhney is the speed & agility and strength & conditioning specialist. As an athlete, he uses a lot of principles followed in professional football to train the Tribe community. From visualization techniques to practicing gratitude, his rich sports background and his conditioning as a sports person is what really helped him double his focus and discipline. The Tribe uses internal practices as well which consist of meditation to still the mind. Sawhney tells us, “Mental toughness plays a huge role. Since this industry is performance based, they (actors) have to show up every day and be committed to what they’re training towards and their fitness goals.”

Established in 2020, The Tribe India is a virtual fitness studio helmed by Karan Sawhney, Robin Behl and Anushka Nandani, each a seasoned fitness instructor with unique skill-sets. Pooling their dreams, ideas and energies, they created The Tribe, bringing in their collective knowledge to build a community of individuals passionate about living healthy lives. The Tribe offers a versatile set of workouts – Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts, Movement, Functional and Free Weight Training, HIIT, Strength and Conditioning, Speed and Agility, Dance Cardio and Tabata alongside ideas of visualization and gratitude. The idea here is to foster a warm sense of community that helps people discover the best versions of themselves, through the realm of fitness.
