Cruising through the game by batting first to put 201 runs on the scoreboard and taking three quick wickets of Mumbai Indians (MI), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) nearly threw away the match but managed to get over line in the last ball of the match.
With both teams, MI and RCB tying up at 201 after 20 overs, the match saw a Super Over which made RCB get back into the game, thanks to the brilliance of pacer Navdeep Saini. A nerve wrecking, dramatic yet thrilling match!
After losing their last match, RCB’s batting department bounced back in style with three players hitting a half-century. Openers Devdutt Padikkal and Aaron Finch along with AB de Villiers contributed with the bat but the big shots game was done by all-rounder Shivam Dube, hitting a quickfire 27 off 10 balls.
For MI, Kieron Pollard and youngster Ishan Kishan did a brilliant job but missed his century by a run after getting dismissed by Isuru Udaan. No sixes and boundaries could make the team reach on the winning side.
