Kheer is an important and most-renowned dessert of Indian cuisine.
But since we all are enjoying our time at home, let’s wear the chef’s hat and give this rich pudding some twist.
Don’t know where to start?
Check this out:
1. Wheat Kheer:
A tasty and healthy twist to your rice kheer. Boil milk with cardamom, clove and nutmeg powder. Add soaked broken wheat to it and cook well. Once it cools down, add jaggery to it and savour on this deliciously sweet treat.
2. Dal-Gulab Kheer:
To make Dal-Gulab kheer, cook soaked chana dal in milk with rose water and shredded rose petals. Once chana dal gets cooked, add sugar to it and your Dal-Gulab kheer is ready.
3. Rava-Sugarcane Kheer:
Boil some sugarcane juice and add roasted rava to it. Cook it until the mixture thickens. Once cooked, add chopped dry fruits to it and serve it. The best thing is that you don’t even need to add sugar to it.
4. Orange Kheer:
Orange kheer is something you never have given a thought about but is one of the most delicious treats for your sweet tooth. Boil the milk until it reduces to its half and add sugar, cashew nuts and cardamom powder to it. Once the mixture cools down, add peeled chopped oranges to it and enjoy.
