As Coronavirus is pacing up its spread across the world, lockdown and cancellations are becoming a common sight which actually is proving to be helpful.
Amidst this Global Health Concern, as the cancellation or postponement terms are looming over TokĪyo Olympics 2020, Canada Olympic Committee (COC) and Canada Paralympic Committee (CPC) has taken a call to not to participate in the upcoming Summer Olympics, backed by the Government of Canada to ensure the safety of the athletes and countrymen.
The committee has also shut down the training sessions of the players in order to safeguard the health of athletes, their families and the world community.
Apart from this, COC has also proposed to cancel or postpone the game, until a healthy environment is established, to protect the community and curb the spread of the virus.
#TeamCanada will not send athletes to Games in summer 2020 due to COVID-19 risks.
