Indian designers have amped their game with high fashion ensembles other than a wedding saree or a lehenga. But no one can transform a regular plain Jane to look like a classy lady like designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.

The wedding of Sonam and Anand Ahuja kept the Bollywood fraternity busy last week and the diva, who has worn several of Abu Jani-Khosla outfits in the past, looked ethereal in Chikankari lehenga. The custom-made Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla creation featured multiple techniques, including zardozi, zari, sequin, beadwork and Swarovski embroidery. Also, Sonam changed into stunning Chikankari kaftan for her after reception-party.
Deepika Padukone left the audience gasping in white Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla fusion number that included a saree with a cape, Deepika looked every bit elegant as well as glamorous. Detailed floral motifs and the feather twist on the sheer cape were an excellent value addition to the garment.
The Bachchan family has been a family of Abu Jani- Sandeep Khosla creation for years. From Jaya Bachchan, to Shweta Bachchan Nanda to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the clan has worn the designer’s outfits from time to time. At Sonam’s wedding, Amitabh, Shweta and Abhishek wooed us in Jani-Khosla couture, giving us major family goals.
Also, Aishwarya opted for Abu Jani Khosla floor-length anarkali with colourful heavy embroidery for the premiere of Blood Ties at Cannes Film Festival in 2013. Furthermore, we have seen Jaya Bachchan and Shweta twinning in Khosla’s design at several events.
Kareena Kapoor, the ultimate fashionista also gave us serious body goals in the designer duo’s creation. Ditching his trademark chikankari work, this sultry gown is giving Bebo a perfect diva look.
Other than Bollywood celebs, several Hollywood celebs have been spotted wearing the designer’s couture. Let’s start with the Queen Bey herself! Beyonce kills it in Khosla Jani’s skin net lotus sequins hand embroidered dress embellished in gold sequins and crystals lined in red in Coldplay’s video, Hymn For The Weekend. She wore a floor length black Exotica Gota coat is worn over it.
Jennifer Lopez too donned an embellished, golden gown by the dynamic duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla for her new music video, El Anillo, and JLo carried it impeccably like the diva she is.
Tyra Banks is another Hollywood celebrity who was spotted looking fabulous in colourful Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla dress on the sets of the talent show, America’s Got Talent. The detailed mirror work on the dress lent a bohemian vibe to the vibrant ensemble, while the voluminous pleats of the dress with the gota work were reminiscent of a Rajasthani ghagra with a modern twist.
