Thanksgiving is around the corner and Google has something special for you!
Google has come up with Turkey Trot on the Maps. A Thanksgiving tradition, turkey trot is usually a casual way to log a few miles before sitting down for the big meal. Due to COVID-19, Google Maps will let you virtually run along with a path you create for yourself.
In Maps, select the ‘Hamburger menu’ and choose ‘Terrain’. Click on ‘walking icon’ and the ‘direction line’. Choose ‘add destination’ and re-enter your original starting point, create your route. Tap on ‘Send directions to your phone’ and select ‘Navigation’ for detailed voice guidance. For the full turkey trot experience, choose a time to start your race and run together.
Get creative and add an element to it like earn points for photos of Thanksgiving decorations or local landmarks. Make it yours and make it fun!
Your yearly turkey trot doesn’t have to be canceled! 🏃Follow these steps to use @googlemaps and make your own. Maybe you’ll even start a new Thanksgiving tradition. https://t.co/6ooe4vYemr
