Ramanand Sagar’s iconic drama series ‘Ramayana’ is all set to make a comeback to your nearest television screen.
First aired on 25 January 1987, the series ran till 31 July 1988. The star cast of ‘Ramayana’ includes Arun Govil as Ram and Deepika Chikhalia as Sita, Arvind Trivedi plays Raavan and Dara Singh essays the role of Hanuman.
With people being asked to stay at home due to the lockdown in the wake of the coronavirus crisis, one tends to consume more entertainment. So, Union minister of Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar announced the re-telecast of ‘Ramayana’ via a tweet about the same on the micro blogging site.

जनता की मांग पर कल शनिवार 28 मार्च से 'रामायण' का प्रसारण पुनः दूरदर्शन के नेशनल चैनल पर शुरू होगा। पहला एपिसोड सुबह 9.00 बजे और दूसरा एपिसोड रात 9.00 बजे होगा । @narendramodi
