One night. One truth. Who will plead guilty?
The trailer of Netflix original film ’Guilty’ starring Kiara Advani as the protagonist has dropped their trailer. The movie also stars Akansha Ranjan Kapoor and Taher Shabbir in pivotal roles.
‘Guilty’ follows the life of wild college student Nanki, played by Kiara who is a musician, and enjoys a millennial life with her friends and her boyfriend VJ, essayed by Taher Shabbir. On Valentine’s Day, after a wild party and concert, VJ is accused of rape by a small town girl Tanu Kumar portrayed by Akansha Ranjan Kapoor. As the news goes viral, the case makes one test their loyalties and friendships.
‘Guilty’ explores the themes of sexual consent, victim blaming, emotional and mental well-being. The movie also addresses class conflicts and the ambiguous nature of truth.
Directed by Ruchi Narain, ‘Guilty’ is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions’ digital content section, Dharmatic. Also, the film will be out on the streaming platform on 6 March.

Meanwhile, the biopic of Olympics gold medallist Abhinav Bindra is back on track!
Harshvardhan Kapoor, who will portray the role of the ace shooter Bindra will start shooting for the movie after a long delay of three years.
The movie is adapted from Bindra’s autobiography, ‘A Shot at History: My Obsessive Journey to Olympic Gold and Beyond’. Also, Anil Kapoor will play the character of Abhinav’s father in the movie. The real life father-son duo will be sharing screen space for the first time.
Harshvardhan penned a long note to announce the upcoming project based on Abhinav Bindra. The sports biopic will be directed by Heeraz Marfatia and hopes to hit the big screen in 2021.
On that note, Taapsee Pannu has also announced another movie to her piggy!
The actress is all set to star with Tahir Raj Bhasin in the adaptation of the 1998 German hit ‘Run Lola Run’. For the Hindi adaptation, the movie is titled ‘Looop Lapeta’.
In the movie, Taapsee will step into the shoes of Franka Potente and Tahir will play the role of her boyfriend. A crime thriller, the female lead desperately tries to collect money to save her boyfriend’s life. ‘Looop Lapeta’ will be laced with an amazingly cheeky straight faced humour too.
Directed by Aakash Bhatia, ‘Looop Lapeta’ will come under the banner of Sony Pictures India and Ellipsis Entertainment. The movie is slated to be released on 29 January next year.

The newbie is all set to steal your heart with ‘Roohi Afzana’ and ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’.
Starring alongside Rajkummar Rao in ‘Roohi Afzana’, Janhvi will play a double role in the funny-tickling-your bones movie that will hit theatres on 5 June 2020!
Coming to air force pilot Gunjan Saxena’s biopic, Janhvi will be playing the titular role of a fighter pilot of the IAF in ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’. The movie will come to your nearest screens on 24 April 2020!
