After a wait for years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid down a silver brick to symbolize the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Modi’s arrival to Ayodhya for the grand celebrations of the bhoomi pujan was started at 8:00am and the auspicious time was of 12:40 pm. First, he offered prayers and performed a puja at the Hanuman Garhi temple.
Apart from the Prime Minister, Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerath Kshetra Trust chairman Nritya Gopal Das, RSS chief Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the ceremony in Ayodhya. Other leaders joined the celebrations via video call.
Laying the foundation stone of the Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, Modi performed prayers at the Bhagwan Shree Ram Lalla Virajman.
Just before heading back to the national capital, Narendra Modi addressed the people. He stated that like 15 August, today’s day is a golden day and holds significance for those who devoted their lives for the cause of Ram temple. This will mark a decisive change in the economy of Ayodhya.
