Lebanon, the Middle eastern nation, faced one of the worst nightmares late Tuesday evening. The port area of capital city Beirut got devastated with two explosions which resulted in 73 deaths and thousands injured.
The news broke out in the world as the videos of a mushroom cloud of gas rising in the air, soon exploding, affecting a wide range of 10kms started circulating all over the social media, giving rise to chaos among everyone.
According to the reports, the catastrophic event took place as two warehouses near the port which are used to store firecrackers caught fire, resulting in a massive explosion which damaged several buildings around it and the loud explosive noise was heard till Cyprus.
Following the news and the devastation it caused to the nation which already has touched its rock bottom because of the great Economic crisis, PM Modi sent his condolences and prayers to Lebanon and the victims by writing, “Shocked and saddened by the large explosion in Beirut city leading to loss of life and property. Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families and the injured: PM @narendramodi”.
