Arsenal Manager Mikel Arteta has been tested positive for Coronavirus. Now the club has forced the main team into self-isolation. Along with this, the club’s Premier League match against Brighton that was to be played on 14 March has been postponed.
Also, the coaching staff and academy members who were in close contact with Mikel Arteta are in quarantine in line with government health guidelines. For now, Arsenal will not play the Premier League and Emirates FA Cup matches.
The club’s London Colney and Hale End training centre have been closed to undergo a deep clean as a precaution. Arsenal will get back into action once the medical advice allows. A statement was issued by the club regarding COVID-19’s effect on the team and manager Mikel Arteta. Have a look:
Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will isolate himself for two weeks after his wife Sophie has been tested positive for Coronavirus.
Just a few days back, Sophie Trudeau returned from a speaking event in the UK and since the day, she was experiencing mild flu-like symptoms. Being in self-isolation, she has been tested positive for COVID-19. At the moment, she’s undergoing treatment and will be back on her feet after the medical officials permit her.
I have some additional news to share this evening. Unfortunately, the results of Sophie’s COVID-19 test are positive. Therefore, she will be in quarantine for the time being. Her symptoms remain mild and she is taking care of herself and following the advice of our doctor.
