The news of deadly Coronavirus outbreaks has sent a terror wave across the globe. With a total confirmed case of around 32,000 people infected by Coronavirus, WHO has declared Global Public Health Emergency in January.
The first case of Coronavirus epidemic was reported in Wuhan, China by Dr Li Wenliang who was called a rumour-monger by the Wuhan Police in December. But in a sad turn of events, the infection spread at a rapid rate covering the entire Wuhan city, leading it to cut down its transportation links.
As the death tolls are rising by each and every passing day, the news about the demise of Dr Li Wenliang, who got affected by the virus while working on it, has come in like a shock to the entire world. Without confirming anything, World Health Organization wrote a statement on its official social media account that reads: “At today’s #2019nCoV media briefing @DrMikeRyan was asked about reports that Dr Li Wenliang had passed away, and he expressed condolences.
WHO has no information on the status of Dr Li.”

Recently, three confirmed cases of coronavirus infection have also been reported in India after several Indians were evacuated from China.
WHO is working with partners to help more countries to diagnose #2019nCoV. This improves surveillance and the ability to track the spread of disease.
