The second day of the India Couture Week currently on in Delhi totally belonged to Veere Di Wedding star, Kareena Kapoor Khan, who dazzled on the ramp in a regal golden Falguni & Shane Peacock. Her heavily embellished A-line lehenga weighed 30kgs. With a lavish dupatta with feather elements, Kareena rocked the runway to a thunderous applause from a packed house.
The collection featured a medley between a Parisienne queen of the French capital and the grand palace of Junagarh – Rajasthan’s cultural jewel. Channelling the spirit of a traditional mela, Falguni Shane Peacock replicated the structural marvel and living elements from the wilderness on fabric.
The grand collection comprises of long sweeping trailed, feather and Swarovski encrusted gowns, punctuated with dainty embellished veils. Bejewelled dresses, dramatic regal lehengas and frail saree gowns made an appearance.
The colour palette was channelled from the concoction of two heritably rich provinces. Persian violet, medieval blue, tinsel gold, plum purple, desert dust, Pearled ivory, honey peach, lavender fog and burgundy Beaujolais are some of the vivid shades of the spectrum infused in the couture collection.
