Part of the one of the greatest rock bands of all time Van Halen, Eddie was famous for finger tapping, playing the guitar with two hands just like a piano. He was also known for his guitars, including one which he pieced together from part of other instruments.
Van Halen gave many number one hits on the US charts but the group’s album ‘1984’ was their high point, earning them a fan base with the classic single, ‘Jump’. The iconic hard rock band reunited twice for a tour, in 2007 and 2015.
But even after tasting success, Eddie Van Halen lost his battle against cancer and has left a void in the world of music. Rest in peace, legend.
