Bulgarian ace tennis player Grigor Dimitrov has been tested positive for COVID-19 infection. Grigor had earlier participated in the charity event of Novak Djokovic organised Adria Tour where he actively played against his counterparts.
The tennis star shared the news of him being tested positive of COVID-19 in Monaco on his social media account, along with apologizing to everyone who came in contact with him. Grigor posted a picture of himself with a mask on as he wrote, “Hi Everyone-I want to reach out and let my fans and friends know that I tested positive back in Monaco for Covid-19. I want to make sure anyone who has been in contact with me during these past days gets tested and takes the necessary precautions. I am so sorry for any harm I might have caused. I am back home now and recovering. Thanks for your support and please stay safe and healthy. GD”.
Soon, after the news came into limelight, the Adria Tour Grand Finale which was scheduled for today has been called off as the official page shared the information along with a note declaring that the authorities are in constant touch with all the individuals who participated in the match. The organizers also advised everyone to be in self-isolation to ensure their safety and report as soon as they develop any of the symptoms of COVID-19.
