1. Papaya Curry:
A one-pot dish with simple yet comforting taste, Papaya curry can be easily cooked within 20 minutes. To make papaya curry, fry onions in oil and add ginger-garlic paste along with salt, turmeric, coriander and cumin powder. Once the spices are cooked, add small cubes of papaya, tomatoes and water and let it pressure cook for 10 minutes. To enhance the flavour, you can also add coconut milk to it and temper it with mustard seeds and curry leaves.
2. Papaya Halwa:
There are times when we buy a ripe looking papaya but when we cut it, the insides are raw. Now what to do with that? Make delectable Papaya halwa with the semi-ripe papaya fruit. Cook chopped or grated papaya in ghee and milk. Once the fruit cubes start dissolving, add sugar and chopped dry fruits to it and cook for another 10 minutes. Serve it hot and enjoy.
3. Papaya Salad:
Make papaya salad with raw papaya in Thai style. Mix sprouts, shredded papaya, cucumber, tomatoes, peanuts and carrot together. Add fish sauce, salt, lemon juice, chilli flakes and basil leaves to it. Drizzle olive oil on it and enjoy a spicy soury salad. You can also add a teaspoon of brown sugar to give it a sweet twist.
4. Papaya Kebab:
Make delicate and juicy kebab with raw papaya and potato. Boil potato and mix it with shredded raw papaya along with gram flour, curd, cumin, coriander, chilli and garam masala. Make small balls of it and fry it in oil. You can use soya curd instead of regular one to make it vegan.
