US President Donald Trump has earlier put restrictions on the H1B visas which primarily seemed to benefit the Asian crowd in getting a job in the States. Claiming it to benefit the citizens of the America in getting more job opportunities as multinational companies preferred hiring the Indian or Chinese nationals, Trump has further signed executive orders in the visa processing.
The new executive order is going to combat the misuse of H1B visas, which according to the administration has been exploited to replace qualified U.S. workers with lower-cost foreign ones. President Trump also directed all federal agencies to focus on hiring Americans for lucrative federal contracts with the requirement that only U.S. citizens be appointed to the government’s competitive service.
The decision came into action following news that the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is planning to outsource 20 percent of its technology jobs to companies based in foreign countries which would put more than 200 American jobs at risk.
