United States President Donald Trump has signed a new executive order extending the suspension of the H1B, L and other work visas temporarily.
The decision was taken after considering the sidelining of US citizens as employers prefer hiring labour force mostly on work visas, leading to increased rate of unemployment in the local community.
The visa suspension will directly affect the IT Industries which runs mostly on working class visas and immigrant workers. The new rule will stay effective till 31 December this year which as per the prediction of the Senate will help in boosting the country’s economy during the COVID-19 distress hours.
While issuing the new guideline, President Trump also stated, “We have a moral duty to create an immigration system that protects the lives and jobs of our citizens” along with the facts and figures supporting his decision.
President @realDonaldTrump is taking common-sense action to put Americans first in line for jobs as we recover from the impact of Coronavirus. https://t.co/yGLJKHBn3j
