After monitoring the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) has decided to postpone Wimbledon. The premium tennis Grand Slam tournament has been scrapped off the calendar for the first time since Second World War, as coronavirus continues to wreak havoc on the global sporting schedule.
Wimbledon 2020, to be played in June will now be played from 28 June 2021 to 11 July 2021. Keeping in mind about the medical emergency and safety of players, staff, volunteers, audience, the decision was made by the committee.
