Netflix India and Karan Johar are taking their relationship forward after signing the new multi-year deal.
A huge move by Netflix drew everyone’s attention when Karan Johar himself broke the news in the media, while posting a 38 seconds long video talking about how Netflix is going to be P.H.A.T (Pretty, Hot, and Tempting) soon, with the exclusive contents of Dharma Production. Along with the video he wrote, “@Netflix_IN is about to get #Dharmatic!
So excited about our exclusive collaboration with NETFLIX! We are creatively aligned to produce original feature films and series (fiction and nonfiction) on this diverse platform…. may the power of supreme content always be with us!”

Along with it Karanis already working on ‘Ghost stories’ as a director and producing ‘Guilty’ under Dharma banner. Karan made his debut on Netflix through ‘Lust Stories’.
The giant streaming company’s customer mainly belonged to the uber class when it entered the Indian market. Slowly, by bringing contents based on Indian taste, and by releasing Netflix original web series ‘Sacred Games’, it galloped the market, giving a tough competition to other channels.
To increase its subscribers, Netflix also collaborated with Shahrukh khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Amir Khan’s Production. Now by cracking the deal with one of the biggest and most renowned production studio, Dharma Productions, for fictional and non-fictional web contents, Netflix surely is upping its game.
Well, Netflix is not stopping here. A few days back it also announced the star cast of its upcoming movie ‘The White Tiger’, an adaptation of Arvind Adiga’s Man Booker Prize winner novel under the same name.
Ramin Bahrani directorial movie will have Raj Kumar Rao and Priyanka Chopra as the leads. Sharing the news over her social media, Priyanka showed her excitement on the upcoming project.
