Netflix has been teasing the audience with short clips featuring none other than Shah Rukh Khan from the past 24 hours.
Finally, Netflix has released a four minute long promo where Shahrukh is playing the role of a daft actor. He is seen alongside Emraan Hashmi, who is in a rather serious role which is quite intimidating.
Along with this, a two minute trailer is dropped which reveals the show’s title. It’s in the scene where King Khan is in handcuffs, he asks Emraan to reveal his name, coming close to SRK’s ears, he says, “I am the Bard of Blood”.
SRK looks like a complete “idiot” in the videos as told by Emraan too. The motive behind this is to make the viewers laugh, which goes down the drain and is a total fail. Infact, you will stare at the screen with the same expression as Emraan looks at Shahrukh during the whole promo. The four minutes seems draggy and most of the scenes and lines are unwanted. Instead of attracting attention of the viewer, you will lose interest within the first 30 seconds of watching the promo itself. Too much expectations leads to a blunder and this is a proof?
‘The Bard of Blood’ will be an eight episode espionage thriller web series, based on Bilal Siddiqui’s book by the same name. It is the story of an expelled spy, Kabir Anand who is recalled from his new life as a Shakespeare professor in Panchgani to save his country and long-lost love.
The series will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. It is set to be released on Netflix on September 27.
We definitely hope that the season is way more drama than what we just saw.
