Guess who is being praised for his incredible gesture towards his mother land and the Australian bushfires?
It is Australia’s spin legend Shane Warne.
Shane Warne announced his plan to auction his beloved baggy green cap that he wore throughout his cricket career, to raise funds for the victims of bushfires raging in Australia.
This baggy green cap is awarded to every Australian player who makes their debut and it is worn as a badge of pride when they are on the field. Now the spinner will use the same national team cap for a good and commendable cause, to save his own country from the hands of fire and destruction.
Sharing this brilliant news on his Instagram, Shane Warne wrote a herfelt caption, take a look:
Warne’s little attempt has sparked an outpouring of generosity from sport stars and celebrities from Australia and around the world as well. But most importantly, the devastating fires in Australia have claimed so many lives, destroyed thousands of homes and taken the lives of innumerable animals.
Hope Shane Warne raises sufficient money for the injured animals and homeless victims!
