New Zealand has successfully conquered over the COVID-19 pandemic and has not seen any fresh community transmission in the past 75 days, becoming the inspiring nation for the world. In this achievement, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern’s efforts and leadership have been appreciated worldwide.
Moving ahead in her role, the Prime MInister of New Zealand in her recent press-briefing discussed about combating the virus if any new case arrives. Emphasizing on maintaining public hygiene and using the Government-backed COVID-19 tracker app, Jacinda Ardern also talked about how the testing and elimination method will go on in fresh cases.
In her speech alongside the Health Minister, Ardern also talked about how the Government will mark alert zones on the basis of numbers of cases being detected and go on for rapid contact tracing methods to contain the infection within the border.
While approaching towards the end of her press briefing, PM Jacinda Ardern also stated: “We learnt that if we restrict contact we can stop the virus spreading and we learnt that everyone being vigilant and following the rules worked.” encouraging people to stay positive even in difficult situations.
