Democrat member Nancy Pelosi has been re-elected as the speaker of the US House of Representatives in the Biden-Harris Presidential tenure.
Amidst the ongoing political conflicts and Republicans challenging the election results, the house voted on Sunday and with the 216-209 poll reinstated 80-year-old Pelosi in the US Politics.
As Pelosi took the position of the speaker of the US House of Representative, the President-elect Joe Biden extended his greetings to the congresswomen.
Joe Biden while giving a glimpse of the upcoming works of his government, also stated: “Jill and I extend our warmest congratulations to Speaker Pelosi on her well deserved reelection today as Speaker of the House of Representatives. A trailblazing leader- and one of the most effective and accomplished legislators in our nation’s history- I have no doubt that Speaker Pelosi will continue to lead the House with dignity, principle and patriotic resolve.”
