Celebrating 88 years since the foundation of the Indian Air Force (IAF), the army warriors are full on zest as they showcase the prowess by putting their mainstream fighter jets on display. This year’s key highlight being the newly-inducted Rafael fighter aircraft that was also featured.
At Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad, a grand parade-cum-investiture ceremony was held. The IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria addressed the gathering, talking about a transformational change, employing aerospace power and conducting integrated multi-domain operations.
Apart from creating the Indian flag in the clear blue skies by the fighter jets, two Chinook helicopters took part in fly-past to mark the IAF Day. Flares fired by the Eklavya formation was included by the Apache and Mi-35 attack helicopters.
On this proud day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings to the brave warriors of the IAF who safeguard the country on Twitter. Here:
#AFDay2020 pic.twitter.com/0DYlI7zpe6
