Any festival is incomplete without sweets.
And what’s Diwali without any mithai, right?
It’s one of those festivals when you should always be ready to welcome uninvited guests with a pack of sweets in your hand. Since the festival of lights is here, see the list of the must-try Indian sweets:
1. Mootichoor Ladoo
One of the most famous Indian sweets, loved by everyone, irrespective of the age. Made from fine, tiny balls of besan, fried in ghee or oil and soaked in sugar syrup. Tadaa, it can be an after-party sweet or however you want, but can’t deny it!
2. Kaju Katli
Nobody would deny a Kaju Katli. Garnished with silver, it is made of cashew nuts, milk and sugar. Make this sweet delicacy your Diwali sweet and bring a smile to your loved one’s face.
3. Gulab Jamun
Gulab Jamun, a sweet delicacy made out of maida, khoya, kesar and cardamoms. It is rolled into round balls, fried and dipped in sugar syrup to make it into the soft and spongy dessert that everybody can’t help but love.
4. Kalakand
Bring some sweetness in your friend’s life with Kalakand. Made with pure ghee and milk, this mithai is filled with nutrients. Eat it and have a prosperous Diwali!
5. Peda
Made out of milk, khoya and sugar, Peda is prepared in thick, semi-soft pieces. Another sweet dish you can never go wrong with and can be enjoyed any time, but Diwali is definitely incomplete without it.
Wishing you all a very happy and prosperous Diwali!
