Indian fencer, Bhavani Devi creates history by becoming the first from our country to qualify for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
Picking up the modern competitive sport with a full-face masked helmet, lacing up the shoes and holding the sword, the Indian female fencer is all set to represent Indian at the Olympics under her Italian coach Nicolo Zanotti.
From individual endeavour and blazing ambition to speed of movements, Bhavani Devi has kept an eye on the Olympics and the Sabre World Cup at Seoul in South Korea has helped her achieve her dream. Trained in Europe, she has earned world championship points which helped the fencer to be assured of a spot.
