The qualifying round of French Open has commenced from today at Stade Roland Garros, Paris and top Tennis athletes are all set to thulp each other to raise the Grand Slam trophy.
But ahead of the start of the Clay court tournament, the directors of Roland Garros have released a joint statement confirming the COVID test of two players competing in the qualifying round to be positive.
Moreover one coach also has tested positive and hence three athletes who came in contact with the coach have also been barred from participating in the tournament. According to the health protocol, all the five players are under self-isolation for a period of seven days.
Moreover, ahead of the French Open, 900 tests have been conducted since 17 September to ensure the safety of the staff and Tennis players.
