World Number one Naomi Osaka after registering a sensational victory in the US Open has announced her withdrawal from the French Open which is scheduled to start from 27 September at Stade Roland Garros, Paris.
The 22-year-old Tennis star shared a note on her social media handles where she wrote, “Unfortunetly, I won’t be able to play French Open this year. My hamstring is still sore so I won’t have enough time to repare for the clay- these 2 tournaments came too close to each other for me this time.” and extended her greetings to the organizers and the athletes participating in the tournament.
Naomi also thanked and sent her love to all her supporters and stated: “Hey guys, first & foremost thank you so much for all the support over the last 3 weeks. I couldn’t have done it without you”, giving the credit of her US Open title win to her fans and followers.
