Another actor comes to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative of saying goodbye to single use plastic.
This time it is ‘Main tera hero’, Varun Dhawan!
PM Modi is extremely happy and is in full praise for the cast and crew of ‘Coolie No. 1’ after they opted for a plastic-free environment on the sets. PM tweeted regarding this “superb gesture” by the movie’s team.

Replying to this, Varun wrote, “धन्यवाद प्रधानमंत्री जी.
The initiative was announced to the country during Modi’s radio broadcast ‘Mann Ki Baat’, where he urged everyone to make India plastic-free and emphasised on the importance of maintaining cleanliness at public places. He also called for a global boycott of plastic at a United Nations event in Greater Noida.
Meanwhile, ‘Coolie No. 1’ remake will star Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan. Directed by David Dhawan and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, the film will hit the screens on 1 May 2020.
