Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has just returned from his foreign visit and he could not contain his happiness!
Feeling proud of Indian tourism, he expressed his joy on Twitter.
Modi shared an excellent news, the Statue of Unity in Gujarat is featured in TIME’s 100 greatest places 2019 list, making it an emerging and popular tourist spot. Also, just a few days back, 34,000 tourists visited the Sardar Vallabhai Patel statue in a single day, setting a new record.

Inaugurated by Modi on the birthday of the “Ironman of India” last year, the statue stands proudly as the world’s tallest statue.
Mumbai’s Soho house has also made it to the TIME’s 100 greatest places 2019 list.
Modi also tweeted about another thrilling news!
He shared beautiful pictures of the Sardar Sarovar Dam, located on the banks of river Narmada, urging people to visit the Statue of Unity as well. Adding to this, the dam achieved the historic water level mark of 134 metres.

During his Independence Day speech, Modi had told people to visit at least 15 tourist destinations in India before 2022 to mark 75 years of freedom.
On the other hand, Modi has gained support from Bollywood stars for his ‘single use plastic’ initiative. He spoke about this issue during one of his ‘Maan ki Baat’ broadcasts, to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150 birth anniversary.
