While most of the events have been scrapped or saw a change in their schedules, one sport event is still going to be successfully conducted with the support and cheering from the entire world.
FIDE, the governing body of international chess competition along with Chess.com is all set to host Online Nations Cup, a team chess competition from 5 May which will go on till 10 May 2020.
The online chess competition will see six teams taking part in it: Russia, USA, China, India, Europe and a team representing ‘Rest of the World’.
This chess competition will also see the return of retired legend Garry Kasparov who will be leading the European team. The competition will also see Chess champion Viswanathan Anand defending the first board of team India.
