Among other sports tournaments started amid the global pandemic, cycling event ‘Tour De France’ has started and Australian rider, Caleb Ewan slid through and won its third stage.
This performance of Caleb Ewan was a display of his physical and mental fortitude, with an intent to finish the hardest tour of modern cycling. With about 100 meters to go, Ewan trailed behind before flinging himself through a narrow road. After five hours of riding, the bicycler claimed his entry into the fourth stage of Tour De France.
Riding for the Lotto-Soudal team, Caleb Ewan’s top speed was 68.8 kph, from the Mediterranean city of Nice to Sisteron. The three week tour, Tour De France ends in Paris on 20 September with stage four featuring the race’s first uphill finish with a climb to Orcieres Merlette where one sees the riders in action.
