The 38-year-old Spanish racer Fernando Alonso is all set to come back on Formula 1 tracks with Renault for the 2021 season.
The Spanish racer was on sabbatical since the year 2018 and his return to the game was much speculated with rumours of Alonso joining McLaren or Mercedes but it seems Fernando opted for Renault, the company under whose uniform he grabbed two World Championship titles.
Fernando will be joining Estben Ocon of France, replacing Australian racer Daniel Ricciardo after this season. Fernando has till date won 32 Grand Prix and is regarded as one of the greatest drivers in the history of Formula 1 on which Renault is betting to receive grand results.
Alonso announced his return by sharing a video clip of all his victories and memorable moments from the track and wrote, ”We are back. #f1”.
