Last night was definitely the best night for Virat Kohli and co.!
Just when Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) was lifting their spirits up after registering a close win against Kings XI Punjab, the team surprised all their fans by sweeping SRK’s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a low scoring match.
Losing the toss for RCB turned out to be lucky as the boys got on the field and went all out in every department. Taking early wickets and restricting KKR to 84 runs in 20 overs, RCB gave their best performance of IPL, last night in Dubai.
KKR couldn’t do anything from their side to stop RCB from chasing the low score. RCB’s pacer, Mohammed Siraj was the star of the match, dismissed four batsmen in four overs by giving away just 8 runs. RCB has become the first team to bowl four maiden overs in this match, two of them were bowled by Siraj.
Not only Siraj but all the other bowlers including Navdeep Saini, Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar did a good job with the new ball. Coming to bat, RCB opener and Bengaluru boy, Devdutt Padikkal hit clean to the ground shots, helping RCB win the match in just 13 overs.
Winning the game with eight wickets in hand, this is a big boost for RCB with the team peeking at the number two spot on the points table with 14 points for the boys. Play Bold, RCB!
That's a BIG WIN for #RCB here in Abu Dhabi as they beat #KKR by 8 wickets.#Dream11IPL pic.twitter.com/qgNXRFpzYE
