The year 2020 unleashed hell on us but it is, sort of, ending on a relaxing note, especially after the news about vaccines for the global viral infection hit our feed.
Google, the Californian giant, through these testing times, played its role and tried giving out useful information, be it on the US election or COVID.
Now, since everyone is looking forward to the COVID vaccine, the company has decided to launch a new feature on its ‘Search’ to help people look up for credible deets. If anyone types in to get info on the vaccine, Google will surface a list of authorized vaccines based on the user’s location along with information panels on each individual vaccine.
Moreover, the Californian giant is also supporting YouTube creators by connecting them with leading health experts to make helpful and engaging content for their audiences about COVID-19 and vaccines. The Google News Initiative is also providing an additional $1.5 million to fund the creation of a COVID-19 Vaccine Media Hub and support a new fact-checking research board, to deliver adequate and authentic details of the vaccine.
As the world looks forward to a COVID-19 vaccine, we’re taking steps to ensure access to accurate and timely information from health authorities. https://t.co/bK7PSPjTsK
