Bangalore, July 28, 2025: Shades of Green presents Songs of Nature this August from 8th to 13th August from 11.00am to 7.00pm at Sabha, Kamaraj Road, Bangalore. A special curation of lighting designs by Oorjaa, a conscious design studio renowned for transforming natural waste into luminous works of art. This immersive showcase highlights iconic pieces alongside a new collection inspired by the quiet intelligence of the natural world.
More than a display, Shades of Green is a platform for dialogue. Throughout the week, join artists, designers and environmental thinkers for talks, panels and workshops that explore the many dimensions of sustainable creativity. Together, we’ll reflect on how we make, why we make, and the impact of those choices.
Talking about the initiative, Jenny Pinto, Founder and Design Director of Oorjaa, said, “Songs of Nature is a chance to pause and listen — not just to ideas and conversations, but to the deep, often invisible systems that shape our material world. We hope it sparks curiosity, care, and a renewed sense of connection to how and why we create.”
Held at Sabha, a restored 160-year-old colonial-era school on Kamaraj Road, the event invites visitors to experience lighting as poetry — rooted in sustainability, shaped by craft, and alive with material stories. From banana fibre to lantana, cork to granite dust, each piece reflects Oorjaa’s commitment to mindful making and circular design.
