The 2000 movie, ‘The Patriot’ shows colonial America and the rise of a veteran of French and Indian war Benjamin Martin into a revolutionary after his family gets affected by the British Crown. Based on the novel of the same name written by Walter D Edmond, ‘Drums Along The Mohawk’ is a historical drama that shows the struggle of a newly-wed couple who are settled in the valley of Mohawk during the American revolution. The black and white movie features Claudette Colbert and Henry Fonda in the lead where they fight for a peaceful living.
3. All For Liberty:
Set in 1776, ‘All For Liberty’ shows the rise of calm Americans, declaring a war against British. The movie tells the story of a respected farmer, who after witnessing the injustice suffered by his neighbour under the taxation system, rebels against colonialism and fights in the revolutionary war. The movie is known for its simple yet incredible storyline with perfectly capturing the 18 Century aura.
