In the times of COVID-19 pandemic, video calls and conferences have gained popularity by manifold. It certainly is becoming the only way to connect with our friends and family.
Since video call apps are becoming a key part of our lives, WhatsApp also stepped up and updated its app to make it more lucrative.
Earlier, the company worked along with the World Health Organization on their new ‘Together at Home’ sticker pack to help people stay connected during these difficult hours.

Now, you can connect with eight people simultaneously rather than four on a WhatsApp video call. This new feature will also be available on the Portal as the users find it a great way to share their living room with family during quarantine.
To access the new, higher participant limit on WhatsApp calls, all participants in a call need to update to the latest version of WhatsApp available on iPhone or Android. This feature will be compatible with low-end devices too.
