Using coronavirus lockdown as a good way to draw attention towards animals suffering in captivity, Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor shared a heartfelt message on her Instagram. She raised her voice against animals kept in cages in zoos around the world.
Sharing a collage of animals on Instagram that includes tiger, elephant, gorilla, bear and dolphin who are cuffed and look sick, Shraddha brought to light an important issue. In isolation, people are forced to live indoors and sometimes feel caged but the ardent animal lover pointed out on the fact that animals are living alone in cages for years for our viewing pleasure.
Shraddha Kapoor spoke about how we humans show a lack of empathy towards animals. Due to the pandemic, the world is finding it difficult to stay at home while their mental health gets affected with feelings of loneliness, depression and anxiety. The actor took this opportunity to make the netizens realise that animals feel likewise too. She ended the message with a quote that will dig you deep, “We are guests of this planet, not masters.”
