2021 brings in the new season of F1 and the weekend is set for the first race, Bahrain Grand Prix.
With 2020 being a hard year for everyone, this year hopes to get better and more fun. Ferrari’s young drivers, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will be racing in the new model SF21, which features a new engine, revised rear suspension and reworked livery. Finishing third last year, McLaren is backed by the Mercedes powered engine which will give them a real fight against Mercedes for the top spot with young driver Lando Norris and the warhorse Daniel Ricciardo.
This season, the focus will be on two rookies who have grabbed a lot of eyeballs, Mick Schumacher in action for Haas and Japan’s Yuki Tsunoda will race for the Scuderia AlphaTauri team. For the first time, Saudi Arabia will host a F1 race and the dramatically cancelled, Australian Grand Prix is back too!
Mercedes driver and defending F1 champion, Lewis Hamilton will be chasing his eighth title and after signing a one year deal with his team, questions are raised if this is his last year or which team will he move to. Fernando Alonso is set to return to the F1 grid and will drive for Alpine, his debut team.
With new rules introduced in 2021’s racing and Sebastian Vettel’s looking to rediscover his mojo in Aston Martin, watch out for the seasons Grand Prix with new teams and new drivers!
