At the Andalusia Grand Prix, Fabio Quartararo won for Petronas SRT Yamaha at the second round of the 2020 MotoGP Championship season in the scorching heat of Jerez, Spain.
Yamaha’s riders, Maverick Vinales and Valentino Rossi secured the second and third spot in the race. Hero of the season, Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez was off the grid due to lack of strength in his broken right arm which made Fabio Quartararo get a 50 point head start.
Vinales was ahead of Fabio in most of the race but he out-braked himself and came third behind Valentino Rossi. With back to back wins, Quartararo feels good to win in this Grand Prix where eight riders crashed or retired due to technical problems.
Yamaha brought home the trophy with no fans and the race happening behind closed doors, the real star of the Andalusia Grand Prix was Alex Rins. Suzuki’s Rins was back in the track after sustaining an injury in the qualifier of the Grand Prix. Making himself proud, Rins was on the tenth spot in this race.
Watch out for the next race on 9 August, happening in the Czech Republic!
