Sunday night was nerve wrecking with every ticking moment, thanks to the IPL match between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). Chasing 223, RR scored 226 with 3 balls remaining, creating a new record in this league.
Just when Punjab’s team thought that Mayank Agarwal’s debut century in IPL and skipper, KL Rahul’s outstanding performance of 69 runs would give them an extra edge, the youngsters from RR changed the whole game with just a few shots.
Making it the highest successful chase in the history of IPL, Kings XI Punjab scored 223 with just two wickets lost. When RR came out to bat, they did not feel the pressure of such a big score instead accelerated their attack mode from the first ball.
Changing the game in one over, RR’s batsman Rahul Tewatia smashed 5 sixes in one over, scoring half-century within a few balls delivered to him. The way he switched his gears to make his win has made him the star of the match, and won the hearts of all the viewers.
