The fastest man on Earth and eight time Olympics gold medalist, Usain Bolt has been tested positive for COVID-19 according to the reports of Jamaica Health Ministry.
The champion took to his social media handle where in a video he addressed his well-wishers and said, “Good morning everybody. I’m just waking up, and like everybody else I checked social media which is saying I am confirmed to have Covid-19. I did a test on Saturday to leave because I work. I am trying to be responsible so I am going to stay in and stay here for my friends.” and urged all those who came in his contact to quarantine themselves, as the sprinter will be following the guidelines of the Ministry of Health for the quarantine.
In his video, Bolt also cleared that he has no symptoms as of now and is in self-quarantine to keep his friends and family safe from the dreaded virus.
According to the reports, Usain Bolt celebrated his 34 birthday on 21 August in Jamaica which was attended by several notable names from the sporting world and now all the attendees are under testing including England’s footballer Raheem Sterling.
