The warm up match for the upcoming Hard court event of Tennis, Australian Open has been called off. Scheduled to take place today, the COVID loomed over it after a worker from one of the Melbourne hotels where players were in quarantine got tested positive of the infection, resulting in cancellation of all the events on Thursday.
The Health Authorities following the new happening have advised the Australian Open organizers to isolate and test the players and their entourage staying in the particular hotel till they get negative results in the COVID test.
The organizers announced it over their social media page and the further update about the Friday events are yet to be released.
Health Authorities have advised us that a Hotel Quarantine worker has tested positive for COVID-19.

Moreover, Australian Open will take place according to the schedule. First match of the Grand Slam will be held on 8 February, 2021.
