Conor McGregor has returned to UFC and in style!
After a fifteen month gap, Conor ‘The Notorious’ McGregor beat American fan favourite Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in just 40 seconds in Las Vegas, USA.
The two popular fighters went head to head in the UFC 246 main event at T-Mobile Arena. But the referee stepped in and waved off the fight after a series of blows that McGregor shot at Cerrone that badly rocked him.
In the comeback match, McGregor showed a wide range of punches and kicks to finish the fight. The crowd was absolutely electric in the anticipation of the fight and ‘The Notorious’ did not disappoint them. Conor hit 19 strikes that included high kick, shoulder barges, head kick, jumping knee and left hand strikes. These were enough to finish Cerrone and for McGregor to stake his claim in the UFC again.
This was one of the most spectacular performances in the Irishman’s career. He made history in this match and set a new record. He is the first fighter in UFC to secure knockout victories at featherweight, lightweight and now at welterweight.
