The ongoing pandemic has shown its effect on the world-class events and while ATP Tours are back on track, the US Open which is scheduled to take place later this month from 31 August has been seeing the withdrawal of several eminent names of the Tennis arena.
Post the grand name of Tennis Rafael Nadal announced his decision to not play the US Open, Alexei Popyrin also maintained his distance from the Tennis tournament. Now adding more names to the absentee list, Lu Yen-Hsun, Simona Halep, Hsieh Su-Wei, Priscilla Hon, Belinda Bencic, Bianca Andreescu, Barbora Strycova, Wang Xiyu, Svetlana Kuznetsova and Fiona Ferro have also withdrawn from the US open along with Aniek van Koot from the 2020 US Open Wheelchair Competition presented by Deloitte.
Yen Hsun Lu has withdrawn from the US Open.
Federico Gaio moves into the main draw.

Aniek van Koot has withdrawn from the 2020 US Open Wheelchair Competition.

The withdrawal has granted several wild card entries to several other names from Tennis court, who now will be playing for the championship trophy by getting a direct entry into the main draw.
