The US Open is scheduled to commence from 31 August at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York post Cincinnati Open concludes on 28 August at the same venue. And several champions of the Tennis court have already taken their names off from the Grand Slam Tournament, looking at the present day scenario of a COVID hit world.
A few days back, Grand Slam Champion Rafael Nadal announced his abstinence from the tournament calling out ‘Travelling’ not a viable option during the crisis hour and now Australian Alexei Popyrin has withdrawn from the tournament.
Apart from Alexei calling off his participation in the Grand Slam Tournament, Andy Murray has moved into the main draw of the US Open, making a way to Mitchell Krueger of the USA, receiving the wild card entry which was previously awarded to Murray.
